The Watergate Inn is the closest Pub to the Roodee, Chester's Racecourse - in fact, we are literally on the doorstep! We do brisk business on race days.
We are in an excellent position right by the main shopping area of Chester, but away from the crowds. very often you can get a drink and something to eat at a reasonable price far quicker at the Watergate because of our location.
Chester's famous Roman Walls run straight past The Watergate Inn. When on the Roman Trail, why not step down from the walls at Watergate for refreshment or just guidance.
